Skinprov #1

Skinprov is a ridiculous show that runs midnights on Saturdays where men improvise and just happen to take their clothes off throughout the show continuing to improvise in their underwear. We deal with a lot of bachelorette parties. Beh!

The guys usually get the bride-to-be's name and her beau's name... they use those names throughout the show. I feel like it's at least once during these specific performances where the performers do a scene where she and her beau break up or cheat on each other, and EVERY time all of the bachelorette's gal pals turn to her and put their hand on her shoulder in fear that her marriage is jinxed (when I know at least one of those women are jealous or secretly in love with her man- because that's human nature). It's fun to watch the reactions.

Final Thoughts About Frenz Finds It

I absolutely adored this show every time I saw it, from opening to closing night. I saw it every week during my internship and I laughed every time... even at some new things.

Frenz is insanely silly in a grounded way, that you couldn't help but adore these men prancing around in black tights and everything that came out of their mouths. The whole ensemble wrote it and was directed by Phil Meister. I've always thought that the more hands that are in a pot, the tighter it is, but that wasn't the case with this show. I hope it gets remounted, so I can watch it for the 7th time.

It really said something about the human condition and essentially poked fun at it. Plus it had puppets. Made out of every day objects! Everything about this show screamed creativity which was the main objective of the main character, Frenz. All wrapped up in a curious bow, it was really something.

Frenz Finds It #1

Frenz Finds It is an epic tale of artistic courage, individual freedom, and romantic revenge, specifically what has been deemed "a poem in puppets" created by Frenz LaRonde and his Wand-ring Minstrels.

Journey into the imagination of Frenz LaRonde as he seeks the Medallion of Raw Talent Genius! With the help of his Wand’ring Minstrels (a physically-adept and fiercely-loyal crew of puppeteers trained on every continent), Frenz takes you to the darkest corners of the Forest of Doubt, the deepest depths of the Lake of Little Hope, and the towering peak of the Mountain of Self-Confidence! Watch as he turns the stage into a carnival of splendor that will dazzle your eyes and tug at your heartstrings!

Child

Someone brought his 8 year old to see Frenz! The kid loved it because of the puppets, and luckily it wasn't vulgar... BUT, I imagine it being what Mrs. Doubtfire was for me. Watching it again as an adult, I got so many more things than I did when I was a kid!

White Rainbows at iO

These past few months I've been directing White Rainbows in their third show, Big Gay Pudding. We performed at the iO's Cage Match- rather, they did, and I ran tech. We won as the other two groups didn't show up at of desperate fear and no clean pants (because they pooped in them, they were so scared!).

All These Things Are True #1

All These Things Are True (but most of them never happened) was performed by Jane Morris and Fred Kaz at the Annoyance theatre, September 2010.
